Peter Kramer just released an album entitled All I Have that according to him “is in essence a prog-rock/electronic adventure about life for a twenty-something art school graduate.” It is a fun and sometimes a quirky adventure that Peter Kramer takes us on. The album themes vary from stagnation, uncertainty, regret, and at other times veers to a comical side. Fans of Destroyers Your Blues will appreciate the use of the 80’s midi electronic sound, electrifying lead guitar and catchy vocals.
The album opens with “When Summer’s Over” which has one of the wackiest yet intriguing intros I have heard in quite some time (It is also, along with another track on the album, over 13 minutes long.). There is something you just have to appreciate with what this guy is doing in the same way people would appreciate an album like Blueberry Boat. There are so many different changes and melodies and as soon as you get used to one it will switch and not revisit. The second track “All I Needed” follows more of a pop format and is also one of the catchiest tunes on the EP. The hilarious “Damn Uncomfortable” sounds like the soundtrack to a Mario game from the original Nintendo. The highlight of the album is another over 13-minute midi epic "End Games” which covers everything from 80’s lead guitars to a break down section that’s sounds like Slayer and Nintendo had a baby. I can tell you that not many people are even attempting to do what Kramer is doing.
