Benjamin Teacher is a solo artist and has brought this self-produced trippy album MindsEye to the Internet and beyond. The album is like taking a journey throughout time and space in a retro rock space ship. The track “Welcome to the Galaxy” is really an introduction to the music that Benjamin Teacher brings to the world. It is very classic in the sense of rock music. The guitar is the main attraction of the song and reminiscent of artists like BucketHead, ASG and even the Misfits. The second song “Venus Loves Jupiter” is a complete 360; it's a track that is completely composed of piano melodies with a few effects. The next track “Luna and Her Eclipse” drives the force back up a bit, this one is colorful with lyrics. It's an epic ballad with directive lyrics “one small step for man, one giant leap for mankind.” There is a glistening synth beat that makes the song very bright like a shining star in the sky. Later in the album, “Cosmic Love Web” is a slowed down rock song that is soaked with intergalactic love. Like in almost every other track in the album, the electric guitar is the anchoring staple of the song. Benjamin Teacher brings us some new age classic rock music on this solo-composed album. The music is space inspired and comes off as a bit extraterrestrial. The addition of the acoustic and short ambient tracks in between the ballad rock songs is a nice touch as it adds depth and a chance for the listener to really experience the spacey trippy sounds that make up the entire album.
