I don’t have too much information for you about Tinzen other than what is on their bandcamp page. What I do know  is the band consisting of Will Ivy (Vox, Guitar and Noise), Lorenzo Ciacci (Drums and Noise), Rory Anson (Guitars, Vox) and Thomas Barth (Bass, Vox) has been putting out a steady supply of rock music since last year. Since January of 2013 they released three albums and thirty seven songs. I’m not sure if these were written within about a two year span or what but the feat anyway you look at it is impressive. On top of that that there aren’t any fillers on these album. They bring their
 A-game to each track by implementing catchy melodies, impressive instrumental and overall solid songs.

On one of their recent releases entitled Decent the four-piece bring you rock music that tips its hat to a myriad of sub-genres that span decades. They flirt with classic rock, grunge and even have a bit of 80’s flavor at times. These aren’t song that are going to make you send a group text your buddies claiming you found the “next big thing”. If you haven’t been living in a cave for the last couple of decades the tunes on Decent will be accessible and go down easy.

The album kicks off with “Fall” which has an undeniable southern flavor that sounds good on the band. Ivy almost sounds like a cousin to Layne Staley at times as he sings “and we get so lonely until we realize we are not alone”. The band immediately establishes there ability to rock out on this song. You will be hearing a lot more distortion, grit, crashing cymbals and sturdy bass lines so buckle in and play it loud. 

“No Shine” has a bit of a 70’s Pink Floyd vibe when it comes to the music although Ivy sounds nothing like David Gilmore. As the album progresses there are a couple of notable songs that you will want to check out. Make sure not to skip over “Big Idea”, “Shot Down”, and the nostalgic  closer “Stand-by”.

The songs on this album don’t need a whole lot of explanation. They are straightforward rock songs that don’t hold many surprises. Overall, the album is fluid with a number of notable songs if somewhat predictable.
