Double D Interview
Q: Can you talk about your musical history and formation?
A: When I was a kid I played the violin in Elementary and Percussion through Middle School. I was more into art than music so I didn't really pick it back up until my Senior Year in High School. I guess I can say I always had a thing for music.
Q: Your latest album CHASUI茶スイ has some very specific themes. What are some themes and concepts involved with the album?
A: Decadence and Debauchery are were my main focus Since the Manga's story is focused on these themes it made it easy to layout an album the same way. Pink Films, Ero-Guro, and Snuff Films were some concepts that ran through my mind also while working on it.
Q: There are a number of guest collaborations on the album. How did those come about? Do you typically know when you want to work with another person to complete a song?
A: Luck and...Luck lol I was just surfing SoundCloud and blogs and just happened to come across some artist who like what I was doing except for popjotripsix me and him make plenty of tracks.

Q: I found this album to be experimental yet accessible. What is your creative process like?
A: Yeah usually when I make an album I try to incorporate as many elements as I can to get that certain vibe and sound or otherwise it wouldn't all come together for me. I also try not to and learned not to dig to far into over bags of genres to the point that it seems like a melting pot.Ii'm glad I was able to make everything flow while adding some diversity to it.
Q: As a duo what roles do you play musically and how do you think they compliment each other?
A: Cool, I can be honest. there is no duo its just me ONE person.
Q: What else should we know about your music?
A: Aside from the features I pretty much do everything myself. I made all the beats, I mix and mastered all the tracks. nobody knows this until now but I pretty much do everything myself and use different names so people think its a team. I'm a true Gemini oh and I released the album on my 24th Birthday.
